Rosters & Scoring
IDP dynasty leagues with true positions and per-position scoring
League Tycoon treats defenders the way it treats everyone else. A defensive tackle is a DT, an edge rusher is a DE, a corner is a CB, and a safety is an S. You start the positions you want to start, score 14 defensive categories, and set a separate value for the same stat at each position. IDP is available in free standard dynasty and in contract dynasty, where defenders carry salaries and contracts.
True Position Slots
Start the defensive positions you actually want to start
Five individual defensive positions, each with its own starting slot count, plus three flex slots and a team defense slot.
Flex and team defense slots
Every slot count is a commissioner setting. A league can start one DL and one LB and leave it there, or run a full defensive front and secondary with two DT, two DE, three LB, two CB, and two S. Defenders share the same bench, practice squad, and injured reserve slots as the rest of the roster.
Players carry a primary position and an optional secondary position, which keeps hybrid defenders eligible everywhere they really line up. An edge defender who also plays off the ball can fill a DE slot one week and an LB slot the next. Commissioners who disagree with a player's listed position can override it for the whole league, one player at a time or in bulk through a CSV upload.
Defensive Scoring
14 IDP scoring categories
Base scoring applies to every defender in the league. Set each category to whatever your league wants it to be worth.
Fractional values are supported throughout, so half-point tackles and quarter-point assists work the way your league already writes them.
IDP Position Premiums
Score the same stat differently at every position
Six categories, five positions, 30 independent settings layered on top of base scoring.
A tackle by an interior lineman and a tackle by a linebacker are not the same achievement, and most IDP leagues want their scoring to say so. IDP Position Premiums add points for a specific position on top of the base value. Each cell below is its own setting.

What leagues do with it
- •Add a premium to DT solo tackles so run-stuffing interior linemen are worth drafting next to the edge rushers.
- •Give CB and S a pass-defended premium so coverage work counts as much as the tackle volume linebackers pile up.
- •Flatten the gap between positions by premiuming sacks for LB and CB, so a blitzing linebacker is not permanently behind a defensive end.
When a player is listed at more than one IDP position, his premiums come from his primary position, the first one listed.
Across the Platform
Defenders are first-class roster assets
Contracts and cap
In contract dynasty, defenders have salaries and contract lengths, count against the cap, and are eligible for extensions, franchise tags, RFA tenders, and dead money on release.
Drafts and projections
IDP leagues load the defensive player pool with weekly projections and IDP average draft position, in snake drafts, slow auction drafts, and contract bidding alike.
Live scoring
Defenders are tracked through the opposing offense's drive, so the scoreboard shows whose players are on the field and what the current drive is doing to your matchup.
IDP pairs with any league size League Tycoon supports, which runs from 4 up to 32 teams. A 32-team IDP league with a deep defensive front is a supported configuration, not a workaround.
